There are a lot of new websites emerging with this very popular effect, and we are going to talk you through how to create it. It’s very simple.

Open a new canvas, say 400×400. Next draw some vertical lines of equal spaces apart like the image below:

Now simply click “Filter” then “Distort” then “Polar Coordinates”.

Choose “Rectangular to Polar” and 100%. Voila. Simple rays of sunlight effect.

You can copy and paste this to use in your designs, change the opacity or colour overlay etc.
