Google has a habit of testing small changes across it’s   to see how they will be received by users. It seems they have been testing a new layout of their search homepage.

I think it’s about time they “jazzed” up this page because its not changed virtually since their launch. See the link above for a screen-shot.

what do you think? A good or bad idea? Everyone is so used to the “minimal” design of this page, so it is probably fair to say that some will love it and some will hate it.

I think change is good, especially subtle changes like this.
