For those of you who haven’t seen it, StubleUpon is a cool way of both finding new websites and blogs for yourself, and getting your website infront of new visitors.
It works in a simillar way to digg and delicious etc except that once you install it, all you do to vote on a website is click a button on the toolbar.
To find new websites you may not have seen before you simply click the “Stumble” button and you are taken to a random website each time. If you like or dislike that specific website, just click the “Thumbs Up” or “Thumbs Down” button.
I’m getting increasing amounts of visits from StumbleUpon users (Hello!) and it’s a great “free” way to get visitors. Now, how do you get your website into the StumbleUpon network in the first place? Well, I dont know how my website got in but it must have been a visitor to the site that clicked the “Thumbs Up” button in their toolbar. I guess you could install it and vote for your own website as long as you don’t abuse it.
The rankings work on a timed basis. The more people vote for your site in a short period of time, the more people are directed to your site.
Have a go, you’ll be amazed at how many great (and bad) websites you will find.
