When running any web design business, you’ll inevitably come to a time like I had recently. I quoted a company almost a year ago and was told that they would deffinately go ahead with the work. Excellent I thought, all we need now is some text and images for your website.
Months went by and numerous phone calls and emails later. In the end I had virtually forgotten about it when I got a phonecall from a copy writing company that had been commissioned to write the website copy for this website.
To cut a long story short, I couldn’t remember what I’d quoted for the work so I searched through my CRM system to find it.
If I wasn’t using said CRM system, I could have possibly got into a very embarassing situation. How bad would it sound for me to ask the client what i’d quoted him?
The lesson today is keep your business activities organised. You never know when you may be caught out.
