I don’t know about you, but since my blog started getting more popular, the amount of spam comments I’ve received has been unbelievable.

Introducing Akismet

Akismet is a plugin bundled with a standard Wordpress install. If you haven’t installed the plugin yet and got your free Akismet API key then I highly recommend you do.

Since I set it up a couple of months ago it’s trapped 250 spam comments. Why do these idiots bother? Even if you didn’t have it installed, as soon as you noticed one of their garbage spam comments, any right minded person would simply delete it.

It is slowly catching up to my email spam problem that I fixed with spamcop!
